Our Furniture Dimensions

All of our furniture dimensions are listed the same way, using WIDTH  (W),  DEPTH (D) and HEIGHT (H). Unless stated these are usually given in millimetres.

How to Measure Up

Below are some tips that we hope will allow you to effectively come to pick your ideal piece of furniture. If you find yourself confused or looking for some assistance, our sales advisors are always willing to help give you some additional guidance.

· Decide exactly where you would like to place your furniture.

· Measure the area where you want to place your furniture.

· Sketch a rough plan including dimensions.

· Note the width, height, and depth of the model you want to order.

· You should now be able to see whether or not the furniture will fit within your living space.

Getting Through Your Access Points

· Ensure that all widths and diagonal depths of the furniture are less than your home’s entry dimensions.

· Check the diagonal depth on upholstery by placing a straight tape measure from the back of the frame to the front of the arm.

· If your existing furniture came in easily, compare the measurements with the model you want to replace it with.

· The diagonal height should be less than the entryway.

· Measure width and height of all doorways, hallways, and stairways, remembering to take into account unmovable objects such as banisters and turns.

· Remember obstacles such as radiators, lights on walls, ceilings and remove pictures, mirrors and anything blocking accesses.

Homes With Limited Access Points

Should you find that you have limited access within your home, please take note that some of our wardrobes can be broken down for delivery; this will typically be discussed at point of sale.

Note – This serves only as a guide and doesn’t guarantee your items will fit. Please consider all access points from our delivery truck to the room of your choice.

An important factor in your buying decision is how your furniture is going to fit within your living space. It is important to ensure that not only will it fit within your room, but also that it will be able to fit within the house access points.
The majority of the Urbane furniture ranges come fully assembled sometimes requiring a screw driver to turn handles on chests below are some tips to ensure you make most out of the space you have. Beds, Wardrobes and Dining tables come requiring slight self-assembly for ease of access into your rooms and generally require only a screw driver.
When you furnish any room, always start by considering the largest piece - the sofa in your living room, the dining table in your dining area, the bed in your bedroom. Where this piece fits will affect everything around it.
Your furniture should be arranged to look good to you – you’re the one who’ll be living with it after all.
Furniture should also be comfortable to use and easy to walk around. Be aware of any doors or cupboards that you need to frequently use, a good idea is to either use masking tape or cardboard boxes to mimic the size of your furniture or compare the measurements against your current furniture.
